Product Details

A handmade textile piece inspired by protection, intuition and the feeling of being watched over.

At the centre of The Guardian is a single open palm, embroidered with an eye and surrounded by small stars. Around it, fragments of fabric marked with simple crosses create a protective, almost talismanic border.

The design draws inspiration from ancient symbols of protection, intuition and spiritual guardianship, but is deliberately reinterpreted through a contemporary, playful textile language.

The hand represents the instinct to protect — to hold something close, to create a boundary, and to reach out when needed. The eye represents awareness and intuition: that quiet feeling of knowing when something is right, or when something needs your attention.

Every element has been designed, appliquéd and embroidered by hand, making this a completely original piece. The raw edges, visible stitching and irregular fabric fragments are intentional, celebrating the imperfections and individuality of handmade work.

Set against a rich coral-pink ground and finished with tactile fringed edges, The Guardian is designed to sit somewhere between cushion, artwork and object.

Please note: As each piece is handmade, small variations and imperfections are part of its character. No two pieces will ever be exactly the same.

Care & Maintenance

Handle with care. Each Pav piece is handmade using appliqué, embroidery and raw-edged fabric details, so gentle handling is essential to preserve its character.
Delicate hand wash only in cool or lukewarm water using a mild detergent.
Do not soak for prolonged periods or wring/twist the cushion cover.
Gently squeeze out excess water and reshape while damp.
Lay flat to air dry and keep away from direct heat.
Do not tumble dry.
Avoid rubbing or scrubbing the embroidered and appliquéd areas.
Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight to help prevent fading.
Iron on a low setting from the reverse side only, avoiding the appliqué and embroidery.
If the fringe becomes untidy, gently reshape it by hand rather than pulling or brushing it aggressively.
The slight irregularities, loose threads and raw edges are intentional and form part of the handmade character of the piece. With gentle care, they will continue to tell its story over time.
